Atheer combines human computer interaction, augmented reality, and near eye display technology into a low power, mobile, stereoscopic 3D device. Role and Responsibilities
As the member of our core software engineering team, the ideal candidate will be participating in researching, designing and developing Atheer SPHERE SDK, Atheer 3D Rendering Engine, system applications and services, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering.
Duties include, but not limited to:
Participate in the software design and development of our product using Java, C, C++, OpenGL.
Write unit & integration tests to ensure a high-quality, robust deliverables.
Help with build and test automation using Python, shell scripts, Ant, and other scripting tools.
Participate in Developer Community support: collaborate writing Developer Portal content, assisting with developers' requests, contribute to Developers Blog.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS or MS in CE/EE with a strong Computer Science background.
5+ years experience with core Java, C, C++.
Strong in OpenGL or GPU development.
Strong in Python, JavaScript or other scripting languages.
Experience with Scrum, Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration environments.
Android development experience is a plus.
Excellent team collaboration abilities and strong communication skills.

We are currently offering a senior engineering position as Staff Research Engineer in the area of 3D Augmented Reality (AR). The person will work in the R&D; group, and report directly to the CTO. An ideal candidate must be intimately familiar with the state of the art in 3D AR, and must have developed high-quality real-time 3D localization and mapping algorithms for commercial products. He or she will be tasked to lead the development of new 3D AR algorithms, utilizing the rich set of wearable sensors provided by the Atheer see-through 3D glasses platform. In addition, this individual will collaborate very closely with the hardware and software teams to transfer the new technologies to viable functionalities in Atheer products.
Responsibilities
Lead research projects and tasks in developing disruptive AR algorithms.
Develop and optimize high-quality real-time AR solutions to enable new applications on wearable 3D platforms.
Serve as the technical point-of-contact to customers on AR related projects.
Collaborate with the software and hardware teams to launch AR-focused products.
Interact with the community at large as an evangelist for the company and its products.
Qualifications
MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5 to 10 years of industry experience.
Deep theoretical knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in the area of AR.
Ability to lead scientifically sound research and development projects.
Ability to analyze and optimize real-time performance of algorithms and their implementation, and to produce efficient, high-quality code in C++ and/or Java.

We are looking for a passionate QA manager to lead the quality assurance of our hardware and software products.

Test and verify all aspects of Atheer’s products
Work closely with software and hardware engineers
Create and execute test plans
Specify and implement test automation

Partner with the engineering teams to ship great quality products
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS, MS in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years experience testing hardware and software
Experience with test automation tools
Previous management experience
Must be process oriented
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Manufacturing Test experience is a plus. Previous startup experience is also a plus.

We are currently offering a Senior Camera Architect position focusing on camera and sensor interfacing with ARM-based mobile HW. The person will work in the R&D; team, and report directly to the CTO. The person will also enjoy close collaboration with the SW and HW team in related projects. The core functions of the position are to define and integrate the new generation of cameras and sensors for the Atheer Mobile 3D platform, including low-power color cameras, depth cameras, motion sensors, and other body sensors.
Responsibilities
Define viable camera and sensor components for AR applications.
Evaluate and debug camera and sensor modules and products.
Interact with EE and ME teams to integrate camera and sensor HW into products.
Analyze and optimize the performance and latency of the data acquisition pipeline.
Collaborate with the software and hardware teams to launch AR-focused products.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
BS or MS in EE, ME, Optics, or a related field with 3 to 5 years of industry experience.
Must have worked on integration, evaluation, and testing of camera modules.
Knowledge about digital imaging pipeline and algorithms (e.g., auto focus, auto exposure, white balance).
Experience developing depth cameras is a plus.
Experience working on motion and other body sensors is a plus.
